Can RAS Bearings design custom bearings for my machine or industry?
Yes. We can customize geometry, cages, clearances, lubricants, seals and coatings. Whether it’s for automotive, industrial, agriculture or export applications, we adapt our designs to your exact duty cycle and cost needs.
How do you test and validate your bearing designs?
We use a mix of lab tests and real-world checks. This includes computerised life testing rigs, noise and vibration analysis, environmental simulations (dust, humidity, salt spray) and metallurgical checks like hardness and microstructure.
Do you provide PPAP documentation for OEM projects?
Yes. We support full APQP and PPAP processes. Customers receive Control Plans, PFMEA, MSA studies and complete test reports so new projects move smoothly into production.
What kind of testing equipment do you have in your R&D lab?
Our R&D centre has a spectrometer for chemical analysis, microscopes for microstructure checks, Rockwell and Vickers hardness testers, surface and roundness testers and endurance rigs for life testing.
Can RAS Bearings support me during field trials?
Yes. Our Application Engineers visit your site to supervise prototype installation, lubrication planning and performance tracking. We work with your team until the solution is proven.
How long does it take to develop a new bearing design?
Development time depends on complexity. Thanks to our in-house CNC, heat treatment, grinding and testing facilities, we can prototype and validate faster than most competitors.
Can you handle both small batches and mass production?
Yes. We start with small prototype batches for validation, then move to serial production using our interconnected grinding lines and automated assembly systems. This makes scaling seamless.
How do you ensure bearings work in Indian conditions?
We design bearings to withstand dust, heavy loads, stop-start traffic, humidity and heat. Surface treatments like chrome plating and phosphating add extra protection against rust and wear.
Do you also offer solutions for noise and vibration problems?
Yes. We use vibration analysis, roller grouping and superfinishing processes to reduce noise and vibration. This is especially useful for electric motors, pumps and automotive hubs.
